Pelin Batur MD has been at the Cleveland Clinic since 1998; she works in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Subspecialized Women's Health. Dr Batur graduated medical school from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOMED), where she completed the accelerated, 6-year BS/MD track. After her internal medicine residency training, she also completed specialty fellowship training in women's health at the Cleveland Clinic. The fellowship provided expertise in menopause, breast care, osteoporosis, contraception, hormonal headaches, medical genetics, general gynecology, urology, preventative cardiology and endocrinology. Her specialty interests include menopausal care, contraception, bone health, menstrual migraine, sexual concerns, as well as overall preventative women's health. She has partnered with the Taussig Cancer Institute to develop a comprehensive Female Sexual Function program for cancer survivors.

She is actively involved in the education of medical trainees and staff physicians, and has held several educational leadership positions throughout her career. She has published more than 50 book chapters, articles, abstracts, policy statements, and educational curricula on a variety of women's health topics. She lectures nationally to general medicine, endocrinology and gynecology specialists, and works closely with multiple national medical organizations to advance women's health care and education. She is the Deputy Editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, a medical journal that is distributed to over 100,000 internists, cardiologists and endocrinologists across the US and internationally. After 15 years of balancing a primary care and consultative women's health practice, she has transitioned to a purely women's health practice in efforts to be more accessible to those in need of specialized women's health services. She splits her time between Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and the Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center.
