Women's Care of Beverly Hills Medical Group
Cedars Sinai Medical Center
Beverly Hills, California

Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz has reached millions through TV, print and popular online platforms, sharing her candid, empowering approach to women's integrative health, wellness and the science of self care.

After graduating from Wesleyan University, Dr. Suzanne did her post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Mills College before earning her medical degree in 1996 from the Keck-University of Southern California School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and has been in the private practice of obstetrics and gynecology in Beverly Hills, CA since 2000. But it's what happened next that separates Dr. Suzanne from the rest. After many years of a personal yoga and meditation practice, she was board certified in Integrative and Holistic medicine in 2008, followed by completing her Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist degree at California College of Ayurveda in 2010. Dr. Suzanne combines her extensive medical experience with her knowledge of the ancient holistic medical system of India: "the original lifestyle medicine," practicing a powerful mind-body-spirit approach that values individualization of care.

Dr. Suzanne's diverse background combining Ayurveda and conventional medicine is a key factor in the important work she does, including an exploration of the relationship between psychosocial risk factors in pregnant underserved teens, and while participating on a MacArthur Foundation funded team at The University of California at San Francisco. She has worked at San Francisco's famed Haight Ashbury Free Clinic and has supervised midwives and residents at an inner city hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Suzanne has taught at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, The National Ayurvedic Medical Association, Yoga Studios and Childbirth conferences and appeared on TV shows such as The Today Show, Dr. Oz, Headline News, The Talk, The Steve Harvey Show, Dr. Drew's Lifechangers and The Tyra Banks Show.

Dr. Suzanne's full clinical practice has allowed her to assist with more than 1000 births, while working as a longtime advocate of physiologic birth and choices in birth. She shares her expertise in general women's health as well as sexual function, wellness, peri-menopause and menopause.

Dr. Suzanne serves as co-founder of Cedars Sinai Medical Center's Green Committee, a 2014-2015 Doximity Medical Social Media Fellow, a member of the Founding Board of Directors of The Pico Union Project and is deeply committed to the promotion of healing that involves individuals, families, communities and the planet. She lives in Los Angeles with her family in a "green" renovated home, among her sustainable native plants garden and organic urban mini-farm. Even though she resumed a rigorous yoga practice after healing from Breast Cancer in 2014, Dr. Suzanne cannot do an unsupported handstand and falls down regularly.
